Three Internationals Standouts Compete With US National Teams in July
Cleveland, Ohio - Wednesday, July 12, 2006
Three members of the Internationals Soccer Club will be representing our nation with the US National Teams Program during the month of July. Paige Maxwell (Medina, Ohio), Jessica Rostedt (Kent, Ohio), and Amanda Cinalli (Cleveland, Ohio) have been called up for National Team duty for the U16, U20, and U21 teams.
These three players will represent our club, state, region, and nation with class and style on and off of the soccer field.
Paige Maxwell, a long-time member of the Internationals Soccer Club, will compete with the U16 National Team at William Patterson University in Wayne, New Jersey from July 10-16. The team will train all week and play against the U19 and U23 Arsenal Women’s teams. Maxwell had been a member of the Region II Regional Team since 2003. Recently, she helped lead the U16 International Girls to a Region II Club Title and will compete with her team at the National Championships July 25-30.
Jessica Rostedt, a long-time member of the Internationals Soccer Club, has clinched a roster spot on the US U20 Women’s National Team World Championship Roster. The U20s will attempt to win a world title in Russia at the 2006 FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Championship held August 2006. The U20s will hold training camps in July for final preparations before heading to Russia in August.
Rostedt has been a member of the US Soccer program for the past five years at the U14, U16, U17, and U19 levels. In 2004, she was an integral part of the US U19 team, which won a bronze medal in the U19 World Championships in Thailand.
Amanda Cinalli, a member of the Internationals W-League team in 2005 and 2006, was recently named to the U21 National Team Roster for the Nordic Cup. The U21s will travel to Norway for the 16th Annual Nordic Cup being held July 16-22 in five small venues in and around Stavanger, Norway, in the southwestern part of the country.
Cinalli impressed the national U21 coaching staff during her first call-up to the U21 Camp where she made her presence known in exhibition games and training from July 11-17.
