In today's fast-paced environment, people scarcely care about effort, rather they are more concerned with results. Fortunately, the Cleveland Internationals U10 Girls produce such results, but it is entirely the effort that is most noteworthy. To think of the Internationals U10 Girls could be likened to a visit to the Grand Canyon. When you are there, you experience in all its glory the awesomeness of such a spectacle. At first glance, you quickly learn that it has no equal, but its strength and power are not only in what you see, but in how it became what is. So let's discuss effort a bit, shall we?

The writing was on the wall prior to the start of the 2008 Ohio Youth Soccer Association North's (OYSAN) State Cup Final. Put into motion back in April, the gears have not stopped during visits to Wooster, Sylvania, Perrysburg, Cleveland, and Hudson. Remainining unbeaten in State League, these girls also maintained similar results in GAASA having only one loss in all matches played. The assault has stretched over a wide area including Tallmadge, Revere, Highland, Green, Jackson, and so on, each new challenge carrying with it new insight into what this team is capable of and further propelling these girls up the standings ladder. A dominant reputation in both schedules was not enough, and as the Internationals descended on Copley Road Soccer Complex, their eyes were fixed on the prize.

With back to back wins in the State Cup Finals, 8-1 against the Maumee Rockets and 5-3 against the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets, our girls have continued their excellence taking the top prize in the U10 Girls bracket and earning the title of OYSAN US Youth Soccer 2008 State Cup Champions! With a single State League game remaining and GAASA Championships around the corner, our girls still have time to write one more victorious chapter in their 2008 season.
