Welcome to iNEWS, the official monthly newsletter of the Internationals Girls Soccer Club!
A Note from our Director
I am extremely happy and proud of all of you (the Internationals players). I am looking forward for the upcoming Regionals and beyond where we will be
further challenging ourselves and preparing for a great future as the Internationals.
I look forward to seeing you at the next event - healthy and happy and having fun, playing to the best of your ability.
I am committed to your future growth and development on your journey to excellence. It is a journey... not a destination.
We are here to pave the road for others to follow. Our commitment, dedication, and hard work will continue to separate us from the rest.
WE are the IT... the Internationals.

Club Happenings ~ May 2007 (part of June, too!)
-
State Cup:
Visit OYSAN for all state cup results.
- Preliminary Rounds:
U10-U17 Toledo, Ohio May 18-20
Upon completion of the preliminary State Cup games our success on the
soccer field is unparalleled to anyone else within the state of Ohio
North and beyond. THE GIRLS PLAYED IN 25 GAMES WITH A TOTAL OF 23
WINS, 1 TIE, AND 1 LOSS. AT THE SAME TIME OUR BOYS PLAYED IN 29 GAMES
WITH A TOTAL OF 21 WINS, 3 TIES, and 5 LOSSES. The combined club
record is 44 WINS, 4 TIES, and 6 LOSSES! This is hard to believe,
however it is a fact that we all need to be proud of. It is a result
of ongoing consistent growth and development of our players and teams
on and off the soccer field. All of our boys' and girls' teams except
one advanced to the state cup final games!
- Semi's & Finals :
U10, U11, U12, U13, U15, U16, U17 Copley, Ohio June 2-3
During the entire State Cup Competition, the girls' teams competed in a total of 36 games, accumulating 30
wins, 1 tie and 5 losses. This overall record speaks for itself. This
provides the facts of our overall strength of all of our girls' teams.
Our boys teams played total of 39 games, accumulating 25 wins,3 tie and 11 losses. As a Internationals club we played 75 games, won 55, tied 4 and lost 16. No other single club even comes close. We will
compete at Regionals with total of 5 teams - by far most then any
other club in Ohio North.
State Cup Results (Girls):
U10: State Champions
U11: State Runner-up Lost 1-0 in finals in a very competitive game that could have gone either way.
U12: State Runner-up Lost 3-2 in finals to a team we previously defeated 3-0 in the preliminary round. So over the 2 games, each team
had one win and we outscored them 5-3.
U13: State Champions
U14: Lost a competitive game in the preliminary round to the eventual State Champs. Our U14 is good team that can play with anyone.
U15: Lost 1-0 in the Semi-finals. We defeated eventual state champions in a preliminary game. (Our U15 is a much improved
team on the way to establishing consistency in performances which should contribute to future success.)
U16: State Runner-up Lost 1-0 in the Finals to a team we previously defeated 2-0 in the preliminary round. U16s will advance to
Regional's as the MRL representative. They successfully competed against other state champions in the Midwest and we will be
very competitive at Regionals. We have already played most of the same teams during the MRL season and we have proven that we can
effectively compete with them all.
U17: State Champions (We will return to Regional's as the defending
champs and national contenders.)
- Memorial Day Shootout: Erie, PA; May 26-28
- The Memorial Day Shootout at Family First in Erie was another great

Championships, we won 6 titles. We played a total of 35 games with a
record of 33-1-1. (Full Results: http://www.memorialdayshootout.com/ )

She has a pleasent attitude and a great work rate. Sasha scored the first goal for the U13s in the State Cup Semi-Finals and it set the tone for the rest of the event.
