The purpose of the Internationals Juggle Club (IJC) is to encourage our players to get more touches on the ball and practice on their own by providing them with a fun and meaningful objective. The goal is to get them increase their technical ability & confidence with the ball by using all different surfaces of the body.
The Juggle Club has five levels of achievement (See below). Players will be given certificates of achievement for levels 1-5 and awards of the coaching staff's choice for levels 3-5.
The levels are based on juggling pattern instead of just number of touches. Patterns will force players to work on their weaker foot as well as develop better overall ball and body control. This will be more time consuming and results are slower INITIALLY, however in a short time the player will have the ability to juggle indefinitely. Dedication and discipline are the keys here and it will pay off in the long run.
Rules
- Players may only use their feet to start juggling.
- A member of the Internationals Coaching Staff will judge the players when there is time available (before/after practices, games, footskills, etc.). Each player gets 3 attempts to pass. If they do not pass within 3 attempts, they can re-test on another day.
- The final touch of the pattern must be a good touch. Meaning the player must have control of the ball so that they could continue juggling or trap the ball.
